This Privacy Policy explains how Lost Anchor Rentals LLC (“Lost Anchor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our websites (e.g., lostanchors.com, lostanchorrentals.com), scan our QR codes, book a rental, receive text messages, or use our kiosks/racks and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.

You provide:

  • Contact & identifiers: name, email, phone number.

  • Booking details: rental selections, dates/times, location, preferences.

  • Payment info: card details processed by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).

  • Communications: messages to support, survey responses.

  • Acknowledgments: safety/waiver confirmations and video completion.

Collected automatically:

  • Device & usage: IP address, browser, OS, pages viewed, referral URLs, clickstream, QR scans.

  • Approximate location (from IP or device settings if enabled).

  • Cookies/SDKs for analytics and functionality.

From third parties:

  • Payment processors (transaction status, last 4 digits, token).

  • Messaging providers (delivery/engagement of SMS).

  • Analytics/advertising partners (aggregated site/app insights).

2) How We Use Information

  • Provide the Services: process bookings, send access codes, manage returns, support.

  • Safety & compliance: show safety tips, log waiver/video completion, detect fraud/abuse.

  • Improve & personalize: diagnostics, feature development, content relevance.

  • Communicate: transactional emails/SMS (confirmations, codes, reminders); optional promos with your consent.

  • Legal/business purposes: enforce terms, comply with law, protect rights and security.

3) SMS/Text Messaging

If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages from Lost Anchor Rentals LLC, we may send you transactional and customer-care text messages related to your rental, participation, or inquiry. These may include booking confirmations, waiver links, participant roster links, reminder texts, pickup instructions, return instructions, and customer support messages. Message frequency varies based on your booking activity and support needs. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. If you opt out of text messages, we will stop sending text messages to that mobile number unless you opt in again. Opting out may limit our ability to provide time-sensitive rental updates by text.

4) Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar tech to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze use. You can adjust browser settings to limit cookies; some features may not work. We may use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and privacy-conscious advertising tools to measure effectiveness.

5) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share with:

  • Service providers/processors: hosting, payments, messaging, analytics, support.

  • Partners/hosts: limited, non-sensitive usage summaries for their location(s) (e.g., bookings, peak times).

Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, shared, rented, or transferred to third parties, affiliates, or partners for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

6) Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Typical retention: bookings/support (up to 7 years), analytics (12–36 months), marketing preferences until you opt out.

7) Your Choices & Rights

  • Access/Update: request a copy or correction of your info.

  • Delete: request deletion where applicable.

  • Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe links or reply STOP for SMS.

  • Cookies: manage in your browser and device settings.

State, national, and international privacy laws may grant additional rights (e.g., access, portability, correction, deletion, and appeal). We will honor valid requests as required.

8) Children’s Privacy

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, secure payment processing). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Our Services do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Where legally required, we will honor valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for specific opt-out rights.
